Year 6 Geography Blog 🌍

This week in geography, Year 6 learned about Brazil and how farming and energy production are important to its economy.

We discovered that a large amount of land in Brazil is used for farming crops and raising animals 🚜🌱. Brazil grows products such as coffee, cotton, fruit, and sugar cane, which are exported to other countries around the world ☕🍌. We also learned that Brazil is the largest energy consumer in South America. It produces energy using coal, oil, and hydroelectric power, showing how rivers can be used to create electricity ⚡💧.

This lesson helped us understand how natural resources and land use can support a country’s economy. Look at our geography working wall - full of knowledge! 🌍😊.
