What another busy and brilliant week of learning in our classroom! 🌟
🔢 Maths
We have been working hard on multiplication, focusing on 2-digit by 1-digit numbers. First, we practised partitioning to help us understand the numbers, and now we are beginning to use the formal written method. Everyone has shown great perseverance and determination!
✍️ English
Mrs Broda-Kaye was amazed by our beautiful and descriptive narratives this week! We worked hard to include a range of subordinate clauses and fronted adverbials to make our stories exciting and engaging for the reader. The results were fantastic!
🧲 Science
In Science, we explored magnets and discovered that different sized magnets have different strengths. We investigated how and why magnets attract and repel each other and had lots of fun testing them out.
🌍 Geography
This week we learned about tourism in the South West and discussed why it is so important to the region. We also thought about the different activities and places that count as tourism.
🎨 Art
We have worked really hard to develop our painting skills and created our own designs inspired by the Anglo-Saxon shoulder clasp discovered at Sutton Hoo. Our artwork is looking fantastic!
⭐ Another amazing week of learning – well done everyone! ⭐
