What a busy and exciting week of learning!

📝 English
We explored our brand-new narrative text and discovered the key features of a diary entry.  The class created an amazing word bank to describe the hideous beast Grendel —and wow, the vocabulary was incredible! So many ambitious and powerful words were shared.

➗ Maths
In Maths, we’ve been working hard using number lines and number bonds to find change from amounts spent. We are becoming more confident at finding the next ten and hundred to help us solve problems quickly and accurately.

🧠 PSHE
This week we had a special visit from the Education Bus! We learned all about how our brains work and why it’s so important to keep them healthy. Lots of great discussions and thoughtful ideas were shared!

🏰 History
In History, we learned about King Henry II and how he helped to develop Parliament. We also explored the story of his friendship with Thomas Becket, which sadly broke down over disagreements about the Church and the law.

We discovered how Henry’s angry words led to four knights travelling to confront Thomas Becket, and how he was tragically killed in Canterbury Cathedral. This sparked lots of thoughtful discussion about consequences, leadership, and how disagreements can be handled.

Well done everyone for your hard work and enthusiasm this week—keep it up!
