Wow — what a busy, exciting, and educational week we’ve had! ✨

✏️ English

This week in English we explored how to write letters in first person. Linked to our class book Stig of the Dump, we stepped into the shoes of Barney and drafted heartfelt letters asking Stig to return. Mrs Broda-Kaye was blown away by the emotive language we used! πŸ’ŒπŸ“

βž• Maths

Maths certainly stretched our brains this week! 🧠πŸ’₯
We learned how to add 99, 199, 299, and so on to 3-digit numbers. First, we added the nearest 100 and then subtracted one. Using practical equipment helped us understand the method, and soon we were solving them mentally like pros! πŸ”’✨

πŸ”¬ Science

To finish our cycle unit, we completed a special assessment task. We divided our page into four sections and wrote about the four main cycles we’ve studied this term:
🌍 Seasons & Earth      🐸 Frog Life Cycle    πŸ•ŠοΈ Migration    🌱 Plant Cycle

Our fantastic scientific knowledge impressed Mrs Broda-Kaye and Mrs Tinnon — and even Mrs Mills came to admire our brilliant work! πŸ‘πŸ”

🎨 Art

In Art we carried on developing our soft pastel skills. We took on the challenge of drawing a fruit bowl, adding tones and shading to make it look 3D. Our confidence and attention to detail are growing every week — and our pages are looking fuller and more colourful! πŸŽπŸπŸ–οΈ

🏺 History

History took us back to Ancient Egypt! πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡¬βœ¨
We explored how Egyptians communicated through beautiful hieroglyphics. We studied images of tombs with incredible wall carvings and even looked at the famous Book of the Dead. What an amazing glimpse into the past! πŸ“œπŸ•ŠοΈ

πŸŽ„ Christmas Jumper Day

We loved celebrating Christmas Jumper and lunch Day! πŸŽ…πŸŽ
We talked about the importance of donating and how our contributions help Save the Children. The class shared thoughtful ideas about supporting people who are less fortunate — such lovely, caring conversations. ❀️🌍

⭐ Another fantastic week of learning!

Well done, everyone — you continue to make us proud! πŸŒŸπŸ‘
