Poem Analysis: I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud 🌼
This week in Year 6, we studied the beautiful poem I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud by William Wordsworth. We explored the figurative language, including personification (like daffodils “dancing”) and hyperbole (daffodils “outshining the stars”) 🌟.
We also examined the rhyme scheme (ABAB) and discussed the poem’s themes of nature, solitude, and the power of memory 🌳💭. Finally, we tackled some new vocabulary to help us fully understand the poem’s meaning.
